Location & Attractions

How do I get to Scenic Forests?

We're located 90 minutes east of Seattle and 2 hours from Portland. Detailed directions and GPS coordinates are provided in your booking confirmation. The final 5 miles is on a well-maintained gravel road suitable for all vehicles.

Is there lake access?

Yes! All guests have access to Crystal Lake, a pristine mountain lake just a 10-minute walk from the cabins. We provide kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards free of charge. The lake is perfect for swimming, fishing, and water activities from May through September.

What hiking trails are nearby?

There are over 30 miles of hiking trails accessible from the property, ranging from easy nature walks to challenging mountain trails. Trail maps are provided in each cabin, and our staff can recommend routes based on your fitness level and interests.

What's the nearest town for groceries and supplies?

Pinewood Village is 15 minutes away and has a well-stocked grocery store, restaurants, gas station, and shops. We recommend stocking up before arrival, though we also offer a grocery delivery service for an additional fee.

Is there cell phone service?

Cell service can be spotty depending on your carrier (Verizon works best). However, all cabins have reliable WiFi with calling capabilities, and we provide a local emergency contact number. This limited connectivity is part of the peaceful retreat experience!
